This is jaw-dropping. This inflation data goes back nearly twenty years, and as you can see, we’ve had a bit of an uptick lately. As in “never higher, ever.” I think this will be a bottle rocket vertical chart for a while.

In the end, Jerome Powell will be vilified as a traitor and a con man, and as always, my opinion will be years ahead of its time (and, at its utterance, completely ignored). The cold fact is that (a) inflation, as you can see, is heating up fast (b) there’s not a goddamned thing that scumbags at the Fed can do about it.

Apologies in advance for some of the possibly confusing content to follow. But if this were easy anyone could do it, eh? There are a lot of balls in the air; balls known as inflation vs. deflation and most of all time frames.
