Tweaking Reactions

As we enter the earnings season this week, I wanted to pointed out an improvement we just made to the Historical Earnings Reactions page. Now the page has a Preferences button which, when clicked, will produce this dialog box:

What this allows you to do is fine-tune what data points are used. In other words, you can define precisely what these time-events (like “After Closing”) actually mean. Most people will be satisfied with the default definitions, but some of you have specifically asked for the ability to alter the basis of these parameters, so now you’ve got that power.

CPI 2022

Someone suggested I input the dates of the Consumer Price Index reports (like the one we’re going to get this upcoming Wednesday) into Event Markers, so I’ve done so below. It isn’t exactly eye-opening, since there doesn’t seem to be much correlation. All the same, I think Wednesday morning’s figure will be very closely watched, considering the mayhem it unleashed last time.
