ZION – Becoming a Badass (by Nathaniel Goodwin)

By -

My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious! I want your heart! I want to eat his children! -Mike Tyson

The market is excruciating for me right now, so I stopped watching the ticker and ran out to get a case of Colt45 40 oz as a gift to the Colonel hoping he would accept me as a student of Sudoku. When the market is frustrating/not going your way, it's good to step away and learn a new skill, enjoy a hobby or get some exercise. The Colonel accepted the gift and said he would be my Sensei.

"First we need to smoke up like the ancient Buddhists did, Cuz! Can't study until we get our minds right!" the Colonel said. He then took his shirt off and showed me two tattoos he had given himself using a dull knife and India ink. The first tattoo he showed me sort of looked like army stripes, "I've earned my stripes Cuz!" and the other was the word "NOIZ" which he kept pronouncing as "ZION". I think he must of done that one using the bathroom mirror or maybe he has some deeper meaning for spelling it backwards.

He said "ZION" was an old Hebrew word that meant "The ultimate goal of becoming a badass". He went on for a while smoking up and philosophizing about the art of Sudoku, and basically it sounds sort of like the art of punching and kicking holes into walls and doors. At least that is what I got out of what he was saying. Looking around the apartment, I can see the Colonel is a master of that.

He said I should start by punching and kicking my pillow and mattress for now to protect my dainty fingers, which I did when the SPX hit 1150. It felt really good punishing my pillow and mattress, not sure if it was the smoking and drinking or my quest for ZION.

A bit later, I ran to my computer and printed this chart out for him on paper of course. He hung it up on his bedroom door and punched a hole clean through it.
