Sleepy Morning

By -

Good morning, everyone. I hope folks had a good three-day weekend. I spent the past 9 days on-the-run with various family activities, a vacation, getting together with friends, and, of course, fencing. It’s nice to be in a dark room with a bunch of computer monitors again, at least to settle back into my familiar routine.

It’s a pretty quiet morning right now, with the ES and NQ green as I’m typing this, and crude oil slightly down. The ES is clawing back some of its losses late last week, but it remains vulnerable to the triangle pattern I’ve been highlighting.

Beware Of Delusional Market Timers

Preface from Tim: Below is an item contributed from Avi, which obviously is in sharp contrast to my own point-of-view. I’m glad he wrote this, though, because it saved me some time in doing a post I was going to construct called “Elliott Wave’s Last Chance”. I will summarize what the post was supposed to be about………

Our friends in Gainesville were hyper-bearish from 2009 until sometime last year. Back in 2009, they stated that the S&P might claw its way back to 1000 or so, but then it was going to be plunging back beneath the 666 low. As most of you realize, this never happened. Year after year, though, the crash was always around the corner.

At some point – – I’m not sure when, but I think within the past year or so – – they massively changed their tune (and their wave count). Their current position is that LIFETIME highs are still forthcoming, pushing even past what we saw earlier this year. Avi seems to agree.

Happy Easter from Sixth Grade Tim

Interesting little tidbit about this photo………the above really was a shot from Audubon Elementary School. You can see from the picture that, even as a child, I tended to take things seriously. The girl on the right is Leigh Ann Williams – – the sort of girl I always liked. Specifically: smart. She wasn’t quite as fond of me. I distinctly remember in the first grade, she grabbed me by the collar with both hands, pulled me forward, and said, “You think life is just a big joke, don’t you?”

Surprisingly how insightful some seven year olds can be. Happy Easter.
