My most profitable short on Friday was Boeing, which I shorted a few days ago, based principally on the fact that, try though it might, it could not get past that lower horizontal shown in the chart below. In other words, following the MAX8 catastrophe, Boeing’s reputation seems horribly smeared, and it’s starting to show up in the fundamentals.
My attention is elsewhere today, but I made time to put together eleven new short positions, which I just executed. I have also put my own personal stop-loss prices in the caption of each image, any of which you can click for a much larger graph.
Just to get away from this comments-obsessed conversation, below are the five most profitable short positions in my portfolio on a percentage basis. I wanted to share these in particular since, in this brutal environment for bears, it’s indicative just how weak these issues are since they can’t fake prosperity like their other equity brethren. I am showing two year charts, instead of the normal “all history”, to emphasize recent activity.
