My new adventure in options spreads continues. I am doing this in multiple accounts, but the one I enjoy the most is tastyworks, where I’ve got a teeny little balance and three teeny little positions (again, I’m in learning mode). At the moment, two of them have a small profit and one of them is flat.
They call copper the metal with the Ph.D. in Economics. But these days Doctor Copper is little more than a quack in that regard, taking a cue from the metals whose interplay will be critical to deciding the coming macro for 2020 and the run up to the next US election. Thus, they are the 3 Metallic Amigos, riding together but providing different signals at different times (this being nftrh.com, you will have to put up with the odd shtick from time to time).
California’s enormous utility company, Pacific Gas & Electric (PCG) declared bankruptcy many months ago. What baffled me is that people were falling all over themselves to buy the stock. I couldn’t understand why people would want to own a piece of a company heading to bankruptcy court, probably for years.
I guess I wasn’t quite as naive as I feared. This company is a wreck.
This appeals to my own particular brand of sociopathy. And, hey, we could all use a few minutes break from this market, right?
