Last night I re-watched Darkest Hour, which I truly enjoyed. This triumphant speech was what finished the movie:
If watching that clip doesn’t get your heart racing, something is definitely broken.
I was curious if the actual speech was anything that electrifying. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. The words were the same, but the actual recitation was absolutely languorous compared to the performance above. Art imitates life, and often does it much better.
