Slope of Hope Blog Posts

Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. ETF Reflections: Energy

By -

Preface to all ETF Posts: I am composing this on Thursday afternoon, so the charts will be up-to-date as of then. I wanted to make some general comments about specific ETF groupings, principally to give me a little time to not have to worry about creating new content for you good people in the near-term.

I’ve probably over-mentioned this, but energy is my favorite bearish sector. I’ll start off with the commodity fund, symbol DBC, which has completed a well-formed diamond pattern. These are rare (well-formed ones, at least) and important reversal signals.

Let’s start off with the EEM, the emerging markets, which has completed a terrific right triangle pattern. The Work Ahead

By -

Here I am. The flight is about to take off. And you know what that means. I am going to be at Jackson Hole for a while. I might be rather quiet. Posts will be infrequent (yeah, right, Tim; you always say that, and you still crank out posts at five times the rate of any other site). I have some important things to do here. So understand that Slope will not be the firehose of content that I usually provide. I appreciate your rarely-asked-for tolerance.
