For all the relentless teasing and snark good-natured ribbing I took for my creation of ticker.art, it’s been a marvelous success. I mean, it’s not going to shove CyberPunks aside, but I was worried I would sell precisely $0.00 of my own creations, when in fact out of 48 items so far, 46 have sold! Pretty shocking, I’ve got to say. Ticker.art is a hit!
One chap has become a complete ticker.art aficionado – this doesn’t even show all the items he’s acquired, and he’s the lucky duck who snapped up TSLA in the wee hours this morning when we finally finished it after literally sixteen iterations on the pieces (I’m quite exacting about this stuff).
There are plenty more symbols coming from my original target of 80, such as AAPL, SHOP, SNAP, and LUV (assuming that last one doesn’t get unexpectedly cancelled. Heh. Is this mic on?)
Maybe the day will come when I stop pleading free users to sign up for a freakin’ Bronze account and I simply stroll around my virtual gallery smoking a pipe, providing vivid new pieces for the well-to-do.
