If you asked an everyday person to name a famous portfolio manager, I suspect one of the top people cited would be Cathie Wood, who for some reason captured the public imagination and become very famous (at least as far as fund managers are concerned).
I believe Ms. Wood – – whom I have every confidence is an absolutely good person with good intentions – – is experiencing a monstrous version of the Cover Curse, since her fame is blowing up in her face.
