It is exactly 60 days until the Inauguration, which is the “Day One” so often declared as a day when such-and-so will happen with the new administration. So many actions have been pledged for “Day One” that one wonders if 24 hours will be enough. On a related note, I was surprised to read earlier today that Gaetz has bowed out of the A.G. nomination. Perhaps the chats with Senators yesterday went so poorly, he figured it would be best to exit stage left (or stage right, I guess being more appropriate).
All the same, even being nominated for the highest legal post in the nation is a tremendous honor. I only hope it doesn’t give him a big head.
