We have provided the ability to “tag” a symbol in a watch list for years, but we just added a new twist that will be helpful to some folks. Now, not only can you display only the Tagged Symbols, but you can also do just the opposite: show only the untagged ones.

How you use this is up to you but let me show you one way that I plan to use it. I presently have thirteen put positions in two different portfolios. I consolidate them like this for the convenience of the Gold and Platinum subscribers who can see my published watch lists, but it’s kind of annoying for me, because I like to examine my portfolios separately. What I’ve done, therefore, is added tags to the symbols that are in one portfolio.

Therefore, I can focus in on this one portfolio by using the Show Tagged Symbols Only function, which I’ve always been able to do.

Yet now I can examine the symbols NOT tagged, which is a convenient way for me to thumb through the positions in that particular account.

I hope some of you find this new feature helpful!
