Inflation has become so rampant that a six-figure household income has become merely the 50% mark for states like California. The least-surprising data: D.C. sucks out more money than anyone else, whereas Mississippi has taken its usual position in last place.

Annual Bars to Consider
Instead of the normal daily bar charts, let’s do something unusual and check out a much cruder granularity: annual bars. That’s right – – just a single bar to represent the billion things that take place inside a calendar year.
