Here are some eye-opening graphics. Here we can see that fast foot profits are coming in strong, with McDonald’s continuing to be the most obese beneficiary.

Starbucks is adding the most stores (since, ya know, there are still some corners without one) whereas Subway is shuttering.

Two things caught my eye about the chart below. First was how much more revenue Chick-fil-A (which I’ve never entered in my life) has than anyone else. I mean, look at Subway – – they are slummin’ it! The other item was “Raising Cane’s”, which not only have I never patronized but I’ve never even heard about. I was proud to see they emerged from my boyhood town of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which makes me an instant fan.

And in case anyone ever tries to tell you Americans are getting smarter about what they eat, just glance at the stock charts of Pepsi and McDonald’s and then look at Beyond Meat and Oatly. That’ll shut ’em right up.
