Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. Another day, another cool SlopeCharts improvement! And this is one I haven’t seen with any other charting platform.
The way it works is that you right-click on a symbol in any watchlist, or on the chart itself, and you’ll see a new menu item called ETF Inclusion:
As the third quarter of 2019 draws to a close, I must say I have one regret which towers over all others: not covering on August 15th. That day was “peak profit” for me, and if I had used SlopeCharts more effectively, I could have taken advantage of it.
Specifically, after much experimenting, I have count that two indicators seem to be calling bottoms fairly well: the 80-day CCI and the 80-day Williams %R. By way of example, I show my point below. I have captioned each graph with the name of the index in question.
Last night I did a post to let you know that SlopeCharts now had vertical options expiration lines. We’ve added the tweak I wanted in which mousing over any given line will tell you whether it is a monthly or quarterly expiration and will also tell you the date.

On Monday, a prospective Sloper wrote me and said that if we’d just add options expiration dates to SlopeCharts, he would sign up.
By Tuesday, we had spec’d, developed, tested, and deployed this new feature. Bid-a-bang, bid-a-boom. Let me explain how to use it.
First, you go to the Preferences (gear icon, in the lower-left of SlopeCharts) and, once the dialog box is up, you select the Appearance tab. You will notice a whole new set of controls, which I have tinted below.
