Not to get all Elliott-Wavey on you, but I’ve made a very slight change to my $SPX chart with respect to its Fibonacci retracement. Specifically, I’ve moved the lower extreme to the 1980 low instead of the 1982 low, which I should have done in the first place!

SlopeCharts Improvements
The insane decision to create a new charting platform from scratch (SlopeCharts, of course) turns out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Thank GOD i was lunatic enough to do this, because I’d be screwed without it (plus the powers that be at Ameritrade can’t decide to nuke SlopeCharts like they did my beloved ProphetCharts). I’m especially in love with the Preload Data feature (among the PLUS exclusives) which makes looking at hundreds of charts a breeze.
We’ve recently added a couple of tweaks to the product I wanted to mention. First of all, it occurred to me that the way we represent “tagged” symbols (coloring them red) and one of the ways to represent “duplicate” symbols (coloring them red) was confusing. Therefore, tagged symbols now have a little tag next to them, whereas the three methods of highlighting duplicate symbols remains unchanged. (more…)

Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, but not for your intrepid host, who is pleased to announce three more improvements to the already-marvelous SlopeCharts product (which improvements, for some curious reason, all begin with the same letter). For your consideration……….
PRINTING – Want to print out a SlopeChart? Just right-click anywhere on the chart area, and choose this menu item…………
PREFERENCES – Personally, I like to make it really apparent when a symbol appears in more than one watchlist. For me, it typically is the case when I am short ETFs, because I always have the ETF symbols in my ETF watchlist, so when any of them show up in my Short watch list, well, those are duplicates! I want my eye drawn to them, and now any of us can italicized, boldface, color – – or any combination thereof – – identical symbols via the Preferences menu. (more…)
