Slope of Hope Blog Posts

Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. Click on any category icon below to see posts tagged with that particular subject, or click on a word in the category cloud on the right side of the screen for more specific choices.

What Is Hidden Will Be Revealed

The Slope of Hope has, over its many years, become a technological treasure trove unto itself. Besides an astonishing amount of content (nearly 20,000) posts, we have our own comments system, the best in the world, and the completely unique SocialTrade system (which even has a Virtual Reality version). There is the premium Slope PLUS membership and, most recently, the marvelous SlopeCharts product.

This last one has been changing and improving the most recently, and I have another important feature to tell you about. When looking at a chart, right-click anywhere in the blank area, and you will see this menu pop up:

An Unusually Bullish Projection

By -

Editor’s Note: What you are about to read is dead wrong. So keep reading, because there’s a correction later…………

As I mentioned when SlopeCharts was introduced, one advantage of forcing me off ProphetCharts (which I have been using for a dozen years) was that I would get a fresh perspective on the markets. With all my symbols, trendlines, and other embellishments gone, I’d be able to perhaps shake off some old biases (or at least reduce them).

In that spirit, I offer this rather surprising post, in which I offer up the prospect of equity markets rising another 10% or so. I’ll happily exchange ridicule for top-ticking a market in exchange for a true downtrend! But regardless, here we go……….

Indexes Galore!

By -

I am DE-LIGHT-ED to tell you that SlopeCharts has high quality index data now. The charts remain free of charge, although I actually am paying for this index data out of my own pocket. Lovely guy, eh? In any case, here’s the list of indexes. Ignore the symbols – – a lot of them are wrong – – and anyway you’ll already find them pre-entered for you in a watch list called INDEXES. Some of the data goes back for many decades. Enjoy! Oh, and if you’re on the fence about subscribing to Slope Plus, you might want to do it now. I’m going to be cranking up the price very soon, and unlike the olden times, I’m not giving any warning about it.

All Ordinaries Index: $AORD
Amsterdam Midkap Index: $AMX
Argentina Merval Index: $MERV
ASX 200 Index: $AXJO

Bitcoin Now in SlopeCharts

By -

The improvements to SlopeCharts have been happening so rapidly lately, I need to catch up with some posts about them (as well as update the documentation). But I’ll mention quickly that the symbol $BIT will now present to you the Bitcoin chart, which is causing puzzlement and red eyes to all the gold and silver “stackers” around the world. Anyway, lots more to talk about with respect to SlopeCharts, but I’ll do a post tonight when I have more time.
