Shorted BIDU
OK, I am officially shaking hands with the devil. I am shorting the scariest stock on the planet for bears – Baidu (BIDU). I didn't intend to do so – – I wasn't even considering it – – but after today's nearly 100 dollar pop, I took a fresh look at the chart, and I was knocked off my feet at the perfect touchpoint on the very long-term trendline. Amazing! I'm setting my stop just above today's high of 718.
A Path to 1140
The market's inability to have more than one down day in a row seems firmly intact. I was staring at the long-term intraday chart of the /ES, and I'd like to offer the following conjecture as to the path of the market over the week or two. This actually lines up nicely with a number of studies I've laid down, trading out a path down to between 1140 and 1150.
