CD Memories

Here was an interesting blast from the past.

I remember so vividly back to 1983 when I got the Sony CDP-101. It was totally new, and no one else had one. I was a kid, but I was earning money from my writing, so I could afford playthings like this, which cost a relative fortune:

The immediate challenge was a lack of “software,” so to speak. There was hardly anything to play in it. So I remember vividly buying what they DID have – – the soundtrack to Chariots of Fire, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, and the Brandenburg Concertos. And that’s it!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, my flight is taking off in a few minutes. May God smile upon the only decent people left on this Earth.
