I find this map absolutely engrossing. It shows the world 2,200 years ago, representing the general ways people lived and survived (and, in a couple of instances, large and well-established cultures). I’d love to take a time machine and explore many of these regions to see what daily life was like for people back then. As always, click on the image for a screen-filling version.
