This shows the relative change from state to state from last year. Unsurprisingly, folks were inclined to leave high-tax states like New York and my own California and head toward places like Texas. These aren’t monstrous changes: for instance, in California’s case, imagine a stadium of 10,000 people and 25 people leave to visit the bathroom (permanently). It isn’t that big a shift.
I am very pleased to report that on a day in which pretty much nothing happened, I made a good profit. By “nothing”, I need only refer to the futures today in which we had this thrilling action:

I must once again point out the alluring price gap that has been hammered out in the financial ETF. This is a clean point of resistance.
For as many decades as I’ve been doing this charting stuff, it still amazes me. Take the oil chart USO below, for example. The simple trendline goes back for a full decade, and yet it quite accurately predicted a reversal point for the bonkers crude oil rally on Monday. If it keeps falling, watch for support at the horizontal:
