Yes, we’ve added something totally new to the Slope of Hope: our yield curve tool. Read what I’ve written below, and if you’d like to see any other features in this tool, which is already the best one on the entire web, you can email me.
(more…)Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. Click on any category icon below to see posts tagged with that particular subject, or click on a word in the category cloud on the right side of the screen for more specific choices.

(more…)I realize that I won’t shut up about layered charts, but this is seriously the best feature I’ve thought of for any charting product I’ve developed. I’m having a blast with it.

I’m not going to do any of the dull ‘bad breath” type jokes that are so common in the financial space: I simply wanted to point out just how weirdly divergent the market is from the cumulative advance/decline. These were created with our super-cool Layered Charts feature. The first shows our entire history of the advance/decline line versus the SPY.

We’ve added (hopefully) the ability for poll results to update in real time. I’d like to see if it works. Thank you!

This is a feature I wish I had thought of years ago, since it is incredibly obvious, but – – oh, well. In any case, I’m pleased to tell you we have introduced polls into Slope, and anyone can use them.
They are built right into the comments system. To create one, click on the Poll radio button, and you will be given fields to enter your question and at least two answers. You can add more answers if you like, and the topic can be on anything – – what the market is going to do, what sports team you think is going to win a championship, and so forth. As always, just keep it civil and decent.
