Grinding the Line
A few weeks ago, I would describe the equity markets as exciting, invigorating, and captivating. How about these days? Oh, I’d say “annoying” and “tiresome” would do nicely. At this very moment, the /ES is just grinding away, doing a lap dance on the resistance trendline and trying to create some more meat to throw at the bulls. As I said: tiresome.

I was in my local CVS, picking up a few items, and I passed by the entire row dedicated to greeting cards. There was the usual assortment of products that have been around for decades, such as those for birthdays, newborns, anniversaries, and to express sympathy.
There were also cards dedicated to completely concocted holidays that, seriously, no one but Hallmark cares about, such as “Sweetest Day”, whatever that is.
