We’ve all heard the stories about the tens or even hundreds of billions of dollars allocated to government programs that, in the end, wound up providing things like broadband Internet access to eight houses or, like here in California, the decades spent on the high-speed rail system which has gone absolutely nowhere (and never will).
I was reminded of a Flying Circus sketch from nearly sixty years ago which illustrates how little things have changed.
