This is SOXL, the triple-bullish fund based on semiconductors. It is my considered opinion that this fund, for the third time in the lofty price zone you see, is headed much lower in 2026.
Flyin’ Cars ‘n’ Rockets!
Until a few weeks ago, the hottest sector around was anything even remotely related to SpaceX, from flying cars to rocket ships. I am long puts on Rocket Lab (the first chart below), and as you can see, this entire sector seems to be succumbing to gravity.

A Case of The Reds
It feels like we haven’t had two back-to-back down days in the market for ages, but we might just get one today. Let’s first take a look at overall momentum.
The /ES, shown below, blasted off like a SpaceX rocket after Liberation Day (first arrow), then its ascent began to mellow (second arrow) and, most recently, seems to have mellowed into a virtual flatline. The failure of the most recent trendline is also an important tell that things are weakening in equity-land.
