Yesterday’s much-anticipated Apple event had the not-Steve-Jobs replacement Tim Cook rolling out the usual marginal advances in technology, causing a brief uptick in Apple’s stock price. Here’s the thing, though – – – it wasn’t that many years ago that people would line up DAYS in advance just to get the latest and greatest thing from Apple. All these new little features (such as the talked-about-incessantly wireless earbuds) aren’t going to cause anyone to line up anymore. The thrill is gone (even though that weird thing that Tim Cook does with his mouth, present evidently even when he was in high school, has not).
