Gold continues to thrive, as it occurs to more and more people that the world’s paper currencies are going to be ultimately worthwhile as a robust toilet paper and little else.
Back to my “silver sucks” theme, however, I ask you to look at the chart above (gold) and the one below (silver). Do it a few times. They seemed to be doing just great together in the left 40% of the chart, but in more recent times, it’s like they’re not even on speaking terms. Gold is the superstar.
For a much longer-term, and cleaner, perspective on this, below are the daily bars of gold futures going back for many years. It looks terrific.
