Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. Click on any category icon below to see posts tagged with that particular subject, or click on a word in the category cloud on the right side of the screen for more specific choices.
I don’t think there’s been any more “in demand” feature with respect to SlopeCharts than cycle tools. I am pleased to introduce the first one today: Cycle Lines.

Hello, SlopeCharts fans! I’ve got another cool little feature for ya: text annotations on horizontal lines.
The horizontal line is by far the most popular item to put on a chart, since it is a quick, easy way to highlight a point of support or resistance. If you’d like to put text on the line to explain what it represents, right-click on the line and choose Change Style.
With the markets such a tangled mess these days, I continue to rely on important, long-term ratio charts to appreciate the big picture. Here, once again, is the Russell 2000 divided by the S&P 500, which suggests to me that small caps are going to be in for a rough ride for many, many months.
The new features are happening so quickly on Slope, it’s easy to lose track. I’ve created a new category called Features you can use to see any posts about improvements to the site.
The most recent has to do with SlopeAlerts, which is our real-time intraday alert system. We have integrated it into SlopeCharts. Just right-click anywhere on the chart, and it is the first menu item available.
