Now that chat has been on the site a couple of days, I'd like to take a fresh poll. From what I can tell, the chat has the advantages of:
- Real time interaction
- Calming down the comments section so it's more manageable
- Allows people to stay on top of news-intensive days
And the disadvantages seem to be…….
- Tim-bashing and Tim-imitating, which are mortal sins
- The presence of certain individuals who have been banned from this site (one of whom in particular I consider to be mentally unstable)
- Nettlesome technical difficulties for some users.
So I'd like to put the poll up again. Do you want chat or not? The last poll yielded 52% yes, 38% no, and 10% no opinion. If we skew much stronger to no, I'm going to take it off.
