Wrecks and the City

By -

If you ever want to know what captures everything I detest in our culture, Sex and the City would be a superb candidate. Bubble-headed, vapid women whose only purpose in life is to consume overpriced luxury products they don't need while heaving their way through middle age via a series of meaningless "relationships" with somatic narcissists is a big rusty bucket of American vomit.

This is on my mind lately due to all of the (wretched) reviews I've noticed of the new SATC movie. The horrible reviews won't keep the fans from seeing this piece of garbage, of course. It's particularly horrific, I think, that such a movie comes out in the current environment of financial wreckage, foreclosures, and human suffering.

Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest (which I'm sure isn't sagging nearly as badly as the four stars of this movie, desperate plastic surgery notwithstanding). As you were.
