I’ve probably done six or seven posts in recent memory about the oh-so-expensive housing market around here, and honestly, even though I see crazy prices every day, I try to avoid doing posts like these, only because…….well………you get the point. But sometimes a place is just so danged ugly, I have to say something. Thus, I offer you:
Yes, a 980 square foot house for almost two million dollars (you might as well round up, because I assure you, there will be a bidding war). And if you’re considering this place, make sure your family members have healthy bladders; there’s just one bathroom (although I suppose male members could use the lone tree featured in the photo above).
“Well, Tim” (you might say), “I understand your point” (you might go on), “but even though you are my favorite blogger” (OK, I’m probably stretching it with that one), “perhaps you are being unfair. Maybe the house is simple but the neighborhood is fantastic.”
Point taken. Here, let’s take a gander and the street view from that exact address:
Whoa, just drink in the view!
As an analog: people who bought Amazon in 2009 and have it today might as well keep their holdings forever, ups and downs be damned. People buying now are taking a big risk. Likewise, I bought my Palo Alto property in 1991, and I intend to keep it forever. People buying real estate now………….same warning. Personally, I think they’re nuts.
