On the heels of their shameless self-dealing buyback, Apple had a product event on Tuesday. Unlike 2007, when Steve Jobs completely changed the world with a revolutionary new product (the original iPhone), these days their products are only marginally-slightly-better rehashes of the old stuff. What struck me as odd is that the people ALL have the exact same gesture, which is waving their arms in front of themselves in a manner so unnatural and off-putting them it distracts from the message. It was effortless for me to take these screen shots…………….
Quite the variety of personnel, eh? Different genders, sexual orientations, races, yet all unified by the same silly little hand gesture. Actually, in fairness, there wasn’t a single black person represented as working for Apple. Considering how much Apple panders, it was no surprise to see their target market was represented by…………..a morbidly obese black woman with a nose ring:
And, of COURSE, they changed their logo for the video to this………
Apple was my first “real” job, but I’ve got to say, I’m totally over the place, and I don’t have to gesture like a caricatured Italian from the 1950s to say so.
