Trying to drive from NY to Vegas nonstop in a 1980's Fiero turned out to be not such a great idea. I must have pushed Darla (my Fiero) a little too far because she caught fire last night in Utah. I panicked and tried to swerve off the road getting her stuck underneath an 18 wheeler. It dragged Darla and I 300 miles off course.
Sparks and flames were everywhere, I was screaming and honking the horn until the fire melted through the electrical harness. I felt helpless as my beautiful Darla melted away while I was in her; it was the worst six hours of my life. The truck driver didn't even realize we were stuck underneath until he pulled over for a BJ at some rest stop. He apologized and offered me a ride to Vegas, right away I could tell he was pretty strung out on caffeine and methamphetamines.
I had nobody to call or any transportation, so I took him up on the offer. He's sitting right next to me as I type this, and he's starting to creep me out. He quit talking to me a few hours ago and starts laughing and giggling to himself for no reason. I asked if I could play with the radio or toot the horn, he just ignores me like I'm not even in the cab. Hopefully we'll make it to Vegas soon.
On a plus note, some of my shorts are doing ok on a day like this. SD isn't up 6-10%, it's still looking pretty good as a short. I would like to go long SD if it gets down about $5.00.
Crank your volume up. Darla, this one is for you…
