One huge portion of the Slope site which gets almost zero attention is SlopeRules. I was reminded of this today when this email tumbled into my inbox:
The cool thing is that when I click the “View” link, it brings up a chart of IWM showing me the instances in the past where such a crossover alert took place, and what the market did afterward. As you can see, the SMA system held on WAY too long, but in 4 out of the 5 most recent examples, the market fell very hard and for a long while.
I wouldn’t mind seeing this add to its record of success!
