Here’s an interesting graphic which illustrates how, in Japan, the working age population (lower portion of graph) is having to bear the burden of an increasingly large older, non-working population (upper portion). Japanese are known for their longevity, and this pretty much spells demographic doom.
Which makes the insane Nikkei 225, which is up 400% over the course of this chart, even more lunatic.
