All Your Eggs in One Basket
In these days of super-exotic technology, cryptocurrency, and AI, it may seem that the most boring company on the planet would be the one which sells…………eggs. However, Cal-Maine Foods (symbol, the very mellow CALM) is a honey of a chart. It has a p/e ratio of 6 (unlike the four-digit p/e ratio of something like AMD these days) and a 5.5% dividend. Not bad!

It’s end-of-day Thursday, which means the latest liquidity-oriented data from our friends at the FOMC has tumbled out. Let’s thumb through it. We’ve got Yellen’s BTFP program, which ostensibly is just a few weeks ago from being shuttered to any new lending:
