Given the lunatic price moves in meme stocks, I wanted to highlight an easily overlooked feature in SlopeCharts called Show Unfiltered Bars. By default, it is unchecked, but you can “force” it to show raw price data by checking it.
This is normally not what you want, but in exceptional circumstances, it is helpful. Take Gamestop (please!) The price chart looks like this, and as you can see, yesterday’s bar seems kind of weird and certainly doesn’t reflect the nuttiness of yesterday’s trading. That’s because SlopeCharts is perceiving the crazy data as……….crazy……….so it is trying its best to show it without errors.
If we allowed unfiltered price data, we can see what’s actually going on.
Crazy times call for crazy settings.
