The Tesla Transition

Before I get to my Thought, here’s a quick infographic………

So……….about that Thought.

It occurs to me that, years from now, Tesla might find itself to be like Apple was in the early 1990s.

What I mean by that is:

  • A company that was way ahead of everyone else;
  • A company known for its innovation, high quality, and high prices;
  • But also a company that no longer had the entire world to itself and had more and more competitors intruding their space with cheaper, mass market products
  • And, as such, found itself sell top quality products at high prices to a smaller and smaller niche audience

My tendency to think in analogs is getting the best of me again, but…………just an idea.
