They used to call it stealing, shoplifting, or theft, but in these days of making sure no one’s feelings dare get hurt, we have invented a new term – “shrink” – to describe the act of lawless lowlifes brazenly and violently stealing from the saps like me who actually obey the law.
What’s to blame? I guess Covid is the inflection point, which infused the population with a sense of entitlement they had never had before. That, coupled with horrible education, fatherless “families”, and idiotic political leniency has turned once-pleasant shopping venues into scenes like these.
Which explains, in part, why Target (TGT) is worth less than HALF what it was just a couple of years ago.
Although I suspect there are multitudinous causes.
