The plunge in interest rates in recent weeks has set fire to equities. This was signaled, as I pointed out at the time, by the massive overshoot in TBT (the ultra-short on bonds fund). Please note that TBT is rapidly plunging toward an important price gap, and the closure of this gap will likely put an end to the interest rate relaxation.

Lifetime highs begetting more lifetime highs. And if NVDA pushes higher after Tuesday afternoon’s earnings, I suspect MSFT will just keep sailing higher, in spite of nosebleed valuations.

I’m kind of getting my sea legs back, so I’m a bit slow with the posts this morning! Here’s a quick observation, though: Tesla, in spite of all the drama around it, has actually become a very boring stock. (Let’s just kindly assume the process of price discovery has reached roughly equilibrium). I wanted to point out that the price gaps, which I’ve tinted, have done a pretty good job of “bounding” the price action in recent days.
