Well, after years of waiting, the Cybertruck is starting deliveries today. Considering all the hype and excitement about this rather strangely designed product, I look forward to seeing if it is embraced as a successful out-of-the-box design or, instead, a modern-day Aztek.
I have to believe that some of Tesla’s recent strength has been drawn from anticipation of this product finally hitting the streets, but looking at the chart, it seems to me we’ve been in a fairly steady descending price channel, and present price levels are certainly on the high side considering the behavior of TSLA since its mid-summer peak.
I’d also like to point out something which folks seem to have forgotten, which is that TSLA has the propensity to lay fallow, for years at times, bouncing around a wide range but really not doing much of anything from end to end. We may well be entering such a range-bound period once more, although the eye-popping glory days in the midst of the Covid insanity are still banging around in people’s brains.
The Cybertruck itself hardly looks any different than when this nutty thing rolled out on stage nearly half a decade ago. One thing is for sure: Tesla is not an imitative organization.
