Of course, now that NO ONE is expecting a recession, it should hit us like a nuclear bomb in 2024.
The Fed’s own recession indicator has been on the uptick recently…..
……but it’s a blip in the context of all the data. Keep in mind, though, recession discovery is a lot like how Hemingway described bankruptcy: very slowly at first, and then all at once.
