Unimpressed Again

I offer yet another example of how computers aren’t as scary as we’re being told they are.

I was typing an email to a Sloper, and I messed up a word:

Now you, dear reader, certainly recognize what the word was supposed to have been. Not only is it easy to tell based on what often-used word should be there, but in the context of the sentence, you know what it should be.

The all-powerful software, however? Let’s take a look.

Congregations? Coagulations? Confutations? Are you kidding me?

Every time I see a computer screw up, it makes me even less concerned than I already am about the Big Bad AI that’s about to take over all our lives any second now. What a bunch of nonsense.
