Opinions on Martin Armstrong?
I've just finished reading the 70+ -page treatise from Martin Armstrong, and I'm curious if any of you have studied this man's work. I see enough holes in the reasoning to have some doubt, but there also seem to be some interesting items in his work. Here's a general link about him, a Seeking Alpha article, and a chart of his Pi Cycle. I vaguely remember asking about Armstrong last year, and I think generally you folks dismissed him, but I wanted to throw out the question for the group.
Current Bear Rally
I received an interesting chart this morning from Gary Savage (whose blog can be found here) showing various bear market rallies. The graph shows the percentage change (y-axis) and how long it took to get there (x-axis). As you can see, we are starting to get to the upper bounds of where prior bear market rallies (over the course of many decades) have pushed, and in a very short amount of time too. Food for thought.
