Live Blog Broadcast
We didn't get a chance to announce this in advance, but earlier today there was a live gathering of several dozen popular financial bloggers. Someone managed to catch a bit of footage – – in it, you'll see first me, then molecool from Evil Speculator, and I believe the last gent is the indefatigable Brett N. Steenbarger.
Scoot ‘n’ Shoot
I distrust this market so massively that, for /ES trades, I am taking profits quickly as they come, as opposed to letting them ride. I can't bring myself to go long this market, but at elevated levels, I can bring myself to short here. Here are a couple of recent trades.
I have no /ES position as of this writing; I am teaching myself to be satisfied with smaller profits and stop overtrading them into dust. So I'm probably pretty much done for the day.
Shorting OIH
I just shorted OIH, with a stop at 88.16. I think this rally will ultimately fizzle out; if it does cross my stop, that's very bullish for energies.
Harried
I feel like I've creating the Apology Blog, but here I go again: it's a frenetic morning, so I'm leaving you folks to talk among yourselves. The quick take on my disposition toward the market is:
- I am exiting commodity longs
- I am increasing my gold shorts
- I have already increased my /ES shorts at 848
