Walt Disney used to be one of the greatest stocks in the world. In recent years, however, thanks to some really bone-headed thinking on the part of its leadership, the company has become a train wreck. It has lost about 43% of its value in just a year’s time, and keep in mind, this isn’t some biotech start. This is a member of the Dow 30, for God’s sake.
One stock which simultaneously illustrates:
……..is Robinhood (symbol HOOD). If this was a bull market, that basing pattern would be absolutely golden. As it is, though, it was a total fakeout, and thanks to the FTX fiasco, Robinhood is falling to pieces.
Well, the cash market hasn’t opened yet, so no victory lap, but this is a red wave I could live with:
When will people ever learn? When a company – – especially a new up & coming company – – shells out hundreds of millions of dollars to slap their name on a stadium, that company is doomed. Every. Single. Time. EVERY TIME, PEOPLE! Anyway, it happened yet again. Jesus Christ. People never learn.
