Long-time readers are acquainted with my discomfort with weekends (and, even worse, holidays). It should thus come as no surprise that I cringe at this diagram of what countries require of employers with respect to paid holidays. The top of the heap is Iran, with an unthinkable 53 days (!!!) of paid vacation. I take a certain amount of patriotic pride that the U.S. has a mere 10, although in my heart I wish it was 2.
