You Shouldn’t Have!
One of the greatest beneficiaries of Covid was Peloton, the bike with an iPad on it that costs thousands of dollars. “Investors” forgot that Americans prefer to sit around and eat Ruffles and watch the tee-vee instead of exercise, but for some reason they figured we would all get on our Pelotons and get fit ‘n’ trim. Well, it didn’t quite work out that way, and the company has lost 99% of its value.
Neon Shorts
We’re not even an hour into the trading day, and the bulls and bears are still grappling with each other, trading to get on top. The day is going fairly well for me so far, in spite of the early attempt to blast the market higher. I have now five ETF shorts and two individual stock shorts. Those two are Next Era Energy (NEE) – – yep, I haven’t given up on this sucker!

We’ve made it through a lot lately, and I’ve got to say, in the 37 years I’ve been starting at charts, I cannot remember ever seeing anything weird as the new pattern – – let’s call it Powell’s Middle Finger – – that happened yesterday. I suspect bull and bear alike are approaching today with a skosh of nerves.
