On this quiet Sunday afternoon, here are a couple of interesting charts. One of them shows how the music business is actually just a shadow of its former self. The old days of people buying CDs at Tower Records are long gone. I guess this makes total sense, because you’re never going to get people to spend $18 on a few songs when the cost of materials is $0.
It’s also interesting to see how the shrinking attention span of the public is finding its way into songs, since our ADHD population isn’t going to sit around for 7 minutes to listen to Hey Jude anymore.
