Let’s Comfort Each Other
After a day like today, what better opportunity to emoji each other to death? Think of it as group therapy. Also think of it as a more sensible exercise in testing than what we pulled on Monday morning. Please Ctrl-F5 your browser to make sure it’s nice and fresh, and let’s get emotional together.
There’s just no other word for it. Today, for the bears, was absolutely brutal.
You see, over the weekend, I was thinking to myself how crucial it was that the market begin to weaken. That transpired beautifully on Monday. Tuesday was immaterial: nothing of note happened.
Today, however, blew a shotgun blast right through bearish hopes. In fact, the fun part of this bear market ceased abruptly on June 16th. Since then, it’s been a total hellscape. We seemed to be getting back into business in October, but with the October 13th CPI report, that was all over. It’s been a nightmare ever since.(more…)
Well, folks, appropriately enough, I need to excuse myself for a visit to the dentist. That aligns beautifully with my experience in the markets today. Chat amongst yourselves, and I’ll be back later with reflections on this brutal day for bears (and glorious day of triumph for the bulls).
